About me

I am Nina Berg, a sauna loving American with Scandinavian roots who is passionate about healthy travel. On this site I list the hotels around the world that have an amazing sauna.

I am born and raised in the US with half Swedish - half Finnish parents. My amazing and very Scandinavian parents taught me from an early age the importance of a healthy and grounded lifestyle, which has truly helped me build a balanced life.

I work as a nutrition specialist focusing on how lifestyle, the food we eat, and health are interconnected. I believe healthy living is all about eating right while also making sure to balance effort and relaxation. I give workshops and seminars all around the world, so I travel quite a lot. A lifestyle that easily gets stressful and exhausting.

So, I have found ways to keep healthy while moving around! I have two main tricks. One, I stay away from crappy airport and train station food. Second, I only stay in hotels that have a sauna. To balance out my travels and long days of teaching, I begin and end my days with some relaxing sauna time, which is one of the best tools for reducing stress in the body and mind.

A clever friend of mine helped me build this site, which finds the most amazing hotels around the world that offers sauna. I use it for my own travels but think it will bring joy to other people as well. If you know of a great hotel with sauna that is not listed, please write to me so that I can include it!

One of the most LUXURIOUS and BEAUTIFUL hotels in Washington, with excellent facilities, including three pools, a sauna/steam room, and an excellent fitness center for gym lovers. It might be the best option for a relaxing vacation!
